![]() The inside of the Pilot’s main compartment contains up to four removable dividers depending on which size you choose. This pocket is nicely suited to organising your smaller items, and with the softness of the bag itself you can really load it up like crazy in there and still seal the zipper! Underneath the Pilot’s top lid is another zipper pocket with a pair of soft padded accessory pouches inside. Wotancraft have developed it with weight and function in mind, and therefore you’ll only find purposeful items adorning this wonderful bag. You won’t find anything unnecessary on the inside of the Pilot camera bag. There’s plenty of space available in the main compartment, which can be easily rearranged with the multiple dividers supplied by Wotancraft. If the weather turns on you, or you’ve intentionally wandered into those adverse conditions, rest assured that the materials from which the Pilot has been constructed will be glad to endure it as long as you do.įeaturing a weather-proof Teflon® coating and a PU Laminated interior coating, the Pilot will withstand and repel most of the raindrops with ease and you won’t have it seep through to your gear. You’ll also find these same materials on the Wotancraft Pilot backpack, reviewed here.Īvailable in a classic Khaki or a more subtle Black coloured design, the Pilot messenger bags will not only give you a level of discretion that many other camera bags don’t offer, but they’re also quite durable and are certainly built to be used. Not only that, but Wotancraft have elected to use ultra-strength bonded Nylon 6,6 to sew the bags together to provide the extra confidence you need when out in the field. The Wotancraft Pilot series of camera messenger bags are constructed from CORDURA® 500D waxed nylon, which is upwards of 10 times stronger than the usual cotton canvas you’ll find elsewhere. The Pilot gives you the functionality without drawing attention to its contents. It's now or never. You wouldn’t immediately guess that this is a camera bag. I'm overseas and I have to order the bag, no way to try it or return it, no ONA bags where I live too. At the same time, Brixton is older, has a tiny top-handle and overall seems too big/cumbersome for the things I'll be carrying, as it's not only wider (as I'd like), but deeper and higher as well. On the other hand, the Brixton would be very future-proof, with those few extra cm for carrying the tablet. I've heard the surface pro should fit alright, as it's the same size a 11"macbook air, but I worry the future tablets might not. I would like to keep the bag as small as possible, so the Prince sounds good. Occasionally I might carry a surface pro 3 or an A4 notebook. I'll be using it mainly for carrying a x100t, small portable tripod, small accessory, a bottle of water, maybe a sandwich. And it will go through hard times for sure. Maybe I should stick to canvas?Īfterall, I want this bag to last and people say the more you use the better it gets. Is water damage a legitimate concern when it comes to ONA leather? Like water stains (from rain or a wet floor)? I have no idea how water-proof it is. However, I have a leather case for my phone that got completely ruined after I left it on a small drop of water, for couple of minutes. I have a small ONA bag in canvas and this time I wanted to try that beautiful dark leather. I'll assume you guys are familiar with ONA bags. ![]() I'm indecisive by nature but this time is too much for me.
